Neighbors

In old Grindhouse films, there used to be something called "allaying the curse".  It meant that, as long as the bad people were punished in the end, the audience could be titillated with all kinds of sex and violence in the meantime.

Modern comedies like this seem to have the same philosophy.  As long as everyone has a heartfelt makeup at the end and admits that everyone was a little in the wrong, we can watch people treat each other awfully in the name of comedy.

Which is to say, yes.  It ends ok.
